Qgis License Agreement

QGIS is located on GitHub for github.com/qgis/QGIS. If you want to make fixes, you can prepare the project, make your changes, make a commit for your repository, and then create a sweater request. The development team can then verify your contribution and, if necessary, define it upstream. Companies, products and commercial projects cannot use qgis.tld (higher level domain): any domain name at the main or secondary level, with or without commercial intent, should not be the same or virtually identical to any of our brands. One question that plugin authors have raised is whether the requirement to publish the sources of their plugins, their ability to sell or profit commercially from their plugin work. This is not the case – you can sell plugins as long as you provide the sources of your plugin under the same license as QGIS for each buyer. The answer is no. Qgis is published under the permissive GPL license, which gives you many rights, including but not limited to non-commercial projects that can use qgis.xxxxx (qgis.tutorials would enter this category if the tutorials are free), but should ask permission before registering the domain. QGIS.ORG save the domain and return names provided by the caller to the caller`s servers or give the caller the name. QGIS is an open source geographic information system (GIS) that is licensed under the GNU General Public License.

QGIS is an official project of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo). It works on Linux, Unix, Mac OSX, Windows and Android and supports many vector formats and features, grids and databases. docs.qgis.org/2.0/en/docs/user_manual/appendices/appendices.html QGIS.ORG also allows its official groups of country users to register a first-level QGIS domain (qgis.ch, qgis.dk, etc.) in accordance with the rules in force later in this document. QGIS is published under the public license GNU (GPL) version 2 or later. The development of QGIS under this license means that you can (if you wish) check and modify the source code and ensure that you, our happy user, will always have access to a free and editable GIS program. If you know that individuals, organizations or companies are using the name or logo QGIS as part of a trademark without authorization, or if you see references to QGIS without the correct attributions, please inform them through our brand.
